The Arts and Cultural Center of Nakhon Ratchasima, Rajabhat University is the principal organizer in preserving, supporting and promoting both national and local art and culture in accordance with the university’s mission, preserving national art and culture, creating and bringing local wisdom into the international stage. The role of the center is also to achieve the university’s strategic indicator in the strategic plan 4 in supporting and creating the value of art, culture and local wisdom internationally and in the strategic plan 2 in encouraging, nurturing and disseminating art, culture and local wisdom internationally.

To operate the mission of the center in driving and supporting art, culture and local wisdom internationally, the center thus proposed the project of ‘Korat International Art and Culture Festival 2019”. The aim of this project is to publicly promote activities in preserving art and culture and more than 10 countries have agreed to participate in this project. Each country, represented by 1 team with 20 performers, performs their own national art and culture, and 8 Thai teams, each of which consisting of 20 performers, including at least 1,000 participating staff from Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University.

This project also creates international art and culture networking through the exchange of knowledge among participating countries and it can be integrated with students’ academic as well as extra-curricular activities. The international performances are expected to win the admiration and the recognition of all audiences and participants in each unique national art and culture, resulting in mutual understanding, valuing and being aware of their own art and culture. The project is also used in promoting and supporting provincial and national tourism and the learning experiences can be used in preserving art and culture.
